As is to be expected from Red’s Arsenal, the Epic-W’s 8K Helium Super 35mm Sensor is a beast. Exceptional dynamic range at 16.5 stops, 8K, and recipient of the highest DxO score ever, this brain is off the charts. A professional’s camera in every sense, The Epic-W offers a plethora of impressive specs allowing you to shoot in any number of situations, including slow motion at up to 300fps in 2k and 30 FPS at 8k. Its full resolution weighs in at a whopping 8192 × 4320- detail for miles. To store the incredible amount of data being generated, the Epic-W offers data rates up to up to 275 MB/s using the included 480GB RED MINI-MAG SSDs (X2). Perfect for multi-faceted shoots requiring quality still and video imagery, the 8k Helium sensor makes pulling stills a pleasure. Our Epic-W comes in the EF mount (great to rent with our Canon CN-E kit of cinema primes), or a PL mount if that's the glass you're working with. We also include the I/O expander board for AC power input as well as outputs like HDMI, SDI, and genlock.
