The Nikon 105mm f/1.4 is the world’s first full frame 105mm lens with an f/1.4 maximum aperture. An ideal portrait lens, the 105mm f/1.4 is designed to render backgrounds exceptionally soft with extraordinarily shallow depth of field. Special Extra Low Dispersion (ED) elements reduce chromatic aberration, ghosting, and flare which are common problems with lenses with such a large maximum aperture. Contrast is also retained by Nikon’s Nano Crystal Coat (N). While compatible with both full frame and DX crop sensor bodies, full frame bodies like the D810 are a perfect match for this lens; producing incredible image quality.
