GoPro Hero 9 Black Camera Kit

By now I feel pretty confident that anyone looking at this page knows what a GoPro is for. So the real question at this point is: "What's so special about THIS one?".

Well, there are a plethora of updates for this 9th generation model. But we think that there are 3 that really stand out: Hypersmooth 3 image stabilization, a front-facing live view screen, and better battery life.

Hypersmooth 3.0 Image Stabilization

Gone are the days of shaky footage while using an action camera. This latest iteration of GoPro's in body stabilization is the best yet. In addition to standard IBIS, it also includes horizon leveling as a separate function, which keeps your horizon level up to a crazy 45 degree tilt. We think it's good enough that you can go without a gimbal and still get amazingly stabilized footage. It's awesome for mountain biking, kayaking, car racing...in fact, it's great for pretty much everything. Everyone loves stabilized footage.

Front Facing Live View Screen

In a GoPro first, there is now a screen on the front of the camera that you can use for framing. This is obviously great for vlogging, but it's also incredibly useful when setting up any kind of front-facing shot.

Bigger Battery

These cameras have never really been known for their battery life, but GoPro made a great decision to sacrifice a small amount of physical size in order to increase the capacity on this generation. This new battery is 1720 mAh, which gives you up to 30% more life compared to the Hero8. I think we can all agree this is a great design decision.

So those are the three stand out features, but this camera is loaded with others. You can record 5K at 30 fps, 4K at 60 fps, 2K at 120 fps, and Full HD at 240 fps. It has an updated 3-microphone array for better sound. You can record up to 100 Mb/s. There's even a cool feature called "HindSight" that, when activated, allows you to record up to 30 seconds of footage *before* you even press the record button. Pretty cool stuff.

Important note: If you are using this camera below 40 degrees Fahrenheit, you should expect EXTREMELY short battery life (less than 10 minutes). If you're using it below 30 degrees Fahrenheit, the camera might not even turn on. So if you need to use this in the cold, ask us about other power options.
