Simply connect this to your BP-U battery slot and plug in the other end to a p-tap port on a V-mount or Gold mount battery. No more switching batteries mid shoot!

And don't worry if you're not using an FX9. It works great for any camera that uses the BP-U system (like the FX6, FS7, and FS5).
